RED STAR FINE AFTER THE INJURY AND THE FANS ARE RELAXED NOW

Angelina Jolie sustained what producers describe as "a minor injury" while shooting an action scene on the Long Island set of the spy thriller Salt – but she has already resumed filming, PEOPLE has confirmed. While the injury never appeared serious, the actress and mother of six – who apparently got a scratch on her face and bumped her head – was rushed to the nearest to the hospital. "As a precautionary measure, Ms. Jolie will be taken to the hospital and examined," the studio said in a statement earlier Friday. The tough-as-nails Jolie, 33, was released after a thorough examination and went right back to work. "She is fine," a rep tells PEOPLE.

TATOO SECRET

Jolie's numerous tattoos have been the subject of much media attention and have often been addressed by interviewers. Jolie stated that, while she is not opposed to film nudity, the large number of tattoos on her body has forced filmmakers to become more creative when planning nude or love scenes.[94] Make-up has been used to cover up the tattoos in many of her productions. Jolie currently has thirteen known tattoos, among them the Tennessee Williams quote "A prayer for the wild at heart, kept in cages", which she got together with her mother, the Arabic language phrase "العزيمة" (strength of will), the Latin proverb "quod me nutrit me destruit" (what nourishes me destroys me),[95] and a Yantra prayer written in the ancient Khmer script for her son Maddox.[96] She also has six sets of geographical coordinates on her upper left arm indicating the birthplaces of her children.[97] Over time she covered or lasered several of her tattoos, including "Billy Bob", the name of her former husband Billy Bob Thornton, a Chinese character for death (死), and a window on her lower back; she explained that she removed the window, because, while she used to spend all of her time looking out through windows wishing to be outside, she now lives there all of the time.[22

  21. The truth is I love being alive. And I love feeling free. So if I can't have those things then I feel like a caged animal and I'd rather not be in a cage. I'd rather be dead. And it's real simple. And I think it's not that uncommon.
  22. Therapy? I don't need that. The roles that I choose are my therapy.
  23. There's something about death that is comforting. The thought that you could die tomorrow frees you to appreciate your life now.

  35. I don't think the money people in Hollywood have ever thought I was normal, but I am dedicated to my work and that's what counts.
  36. I like everything. Boyish girls, girlish boys, the heavy and the skinny. Which is a problem when I'm walking down the street.
  37. I like someone who is a little crazy but coming from a good place. I think scars are sexy because it means you made a mistake that led to a mess.
  38. I like to hide behind the characters I play. Despite the public perception, I am a very private person who has a hard time with the fame thing.
  39. I love to put on lotion. Sometimes I'll watch TV and go into a lotion trance for an hour. I try to find brands that don't taste bad in case anyone wants to taste me.

  43. I seem to be getting a lot of things pushed my way that are strong women. It's like people see Hackers and they send me offers to play tough women with guns, the kind who wear no bra and a little tank top. I'd like to play strong women who are also very feminine.
  44. I think all women go through periods where we hate this about ourselves, we don't like that. It's great to get to a place where you dismiss anything you're worried about. I find flaws attractive. I find scars attractive.
  45. I'd go from film to film and almost detach from one world and jump in another. I was living as these people and not having a self. I didn't know who I was. And things just get really dark.
